You will be working for a publicly listed, non-bank lender that specialises in the provision of Invoice, Equipment, and Trade Finance services to Australian SMEs, with offices all over Australia and is growing rapidly. This role can be based in Sydney or Brisbane and offers WFH flexibility.
Reporting to a Settlements Manager you will be responsible for minimising risk by accurate preparation and execution of contract documentation to ensure enforceability of agreements and the correct payment to customers.
The role:
Preparation of Settlement Documentation as per corporate policies & procedures
Settlement preparation and checking
Preparation & receipt of all legal documentation & contracts from clients & suppliers in a timely manner
Prepare of application approval advices and corresponding invoice requests from vendors on Credit Department approved applications
Ensure the asset description documentation is accurate and complies with company standards
Ensure all documentation and any amendments are executed correctly and comply with all relevant legislation & corporate policies & procedures
Pipeline & management reporting of settlement requirements to allow for sufficient funding requirements
Mitigation of risk by Identifying any gaps in application documentation
Become a product specialist and work closely with Sales, Credit and Collections teams to minimise risk and prevent errors in the settlement process
Provision of first-class customer service to all clients, suppliers and stakeholders
To be successful in this role, you will need the following essential criteria:
4 years+ experience in a settlements role with experience gained in commercial lending - knowledge of equipment finance is highly desirable
Understanding of financial risk management & mitigation processes
Detailed understanding of the relevant State & Federal legislation, including the Privacy Act, anti-money laundering and national title database legislation
Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office products to include MS Excel
An eye for detail with the ability to keep a CRM accurate and up to date
First class customer service skills, with the ability to deal with people at all levels
First class communications skills both written and verbal
Ability to work to deadlines & under time pressure in a fast-paced changing environment
Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritise a demanding workload
A team player who understands the impact your work has across multiple stakeholders within the business and outside of it
